Moongate Dance Theatre is participating in the development of a new innovation from England entitled FORMotion.
Bedford Interactive Productions and Research is the brain child of Jacqueline Smith-Autard and Jim Schofield. Jacqueline, acknowledged as a world-leading exponent in dance education, has taught dance in schools and universities for the past 42 years. Much of the latter work has been in teacher training for dance education. She has written many articles and two seminal texts. Moongate Dance Theatre is proud to be involved with this project.
Dance Interactive is the on-line home of Bedford Interactive Productions and Research, a partnership that has been pioneering the use of technology in dance education for over 20 years. Bedford Interactive currently have six multimedia resource packs available to buy, they are all aimed at improving performance, choreography, analysis and appreciation of dance in schools and universities. At present Bedford Interactive Research is in phase 1 of developing a new product entited FORMotion. Moongate Dance Theatre is taking part in this very exciting project. The new software and tools being developed will allow choreographers, dance teachers and dance companies to use Bedford Interactive productions techniques with their own footage and rescources.
