ARTISTS' BURSARY AWARD

Cherie Worthington-Eyre receives an Artists Bursary Award from the Arts Council of Ireland.

Cherie has recently been awarded with a bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland. The award is in support of the further development of her professional dance teaching practice, with a focus on young people, children, education and the arts and as a result will launch a pilot dance program in Seamount College in Kinvara.This exciting project put the school on the cutting edge of the new directives in education.

Smock Alley

Moongate dance Theatre performed in Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin on July 19th of August as part of a production entitled 'A short History of the Tuatha De Danann'.

Written by Martina Reilly and Directed by Geraldine O'Brien.

This innovative and exciting production involved acting, physical theatre, choral voice work and dance based on Laban movement fundamentals.

SONRAIGH YOUTH DANCE FESTIVAL

Moongate Dance Theatre are proud to announce that they have been selected to perform in the SONRAIGH Youth Dance Festival 2012. The festival takes place in the O'Reilly Theatre in the Wexford Opera House on Saturday 1st of December 2012. We will be performing excerpts from 'The Boy, The Kite and the Wind'.
